Interpreters

Sworn and non-sworn Interpretership

Professional interpreters in all languages, in France and abroad in all fields since 1920

The combinations are possible (for example, English/Spanish, German/English etc…) or then through French.

With our team of professional interpreters specialized in their own fields (bilingual or multilingual) we offer two specializations: non-sworn interpretership (free) and sworn interpretership.

All languages are likely to be subject to a free interpretership, only those on a list of the courts of appeals or of the court of cassation for sworn interpretership

Non-sworn interpretership (free)

Link cast Interpreters:

Small spaces, meetings in restricted groups, no equipment or special equipment (specify the location, duration and the conduct of the mission accurately):

Interpreters perform in this kind of interpretership in a immediate and fluent manner; one can talk of genuine face-to-face between speakers and them. Ideal for business meetings involving limited quantity of people.

Consecutive interpreters:

Made listening to the interpreters during their mission, and transcript back after a certain waiting period.

This type of requests is intended essentially for group meetings to low or medium audience and does not specifically require facilities to provide.

However, a waiting period will be granted here absolutely to the interpreters thus allowing them to write their "interpretation".

Everybody speaks here one and other in turn, the speaker and the interpreter, and again the speaker and so forth.

Simultaneous interpreters:

It is the most difficult. It takes place in real time and requires a genuine technical and personal preparation from all the participants. Installation of equipment and adequate equipment (type headphones and headsets, microphones, etc.) is here often indispensable and interpreters (often placed in an isolated cabin) stay continuously in connection with speakers and listeners.

Process of request will essentially depend on the place, the duration and nature of the prestation to ensure. Please note that you choose among these three types of interpretership the one appropriate for the conduct of the prestation.

Sworn interpretership

For your weddings in City Hall, a formal contract passing before the notary (for example, a sale of real estate), a judgment before a court and more generally, any and all events subject to an administrative or judicial authority involving at least one person of foreign language not speaking French, etc., you must resort to a Sworn Interpreter whose name appears on the list of experts to a Court of appeals or the Court of cassation.

A list of these experts is available at the experts' division of each court of appeals. All languages existing on the current lists in force (enquire with different courts of appeals in activity for obtaining an exhaustive list of these languages, if necessary) can be provided by a sworn interpreter.

The number of interpreters to accompany you at the time of appointment will depend essentially n the followings:

(1) the duration for which you request our presence

(2) the nature of the prestation to ensure.

Please note, only the languages which have been assigned a topic by language (see above) on these lists may be subject to a sworn interpreter. For all other languages, please contact the Consulate of the country concerned in France or by way of derogation, try to know if a free (non-sworn) interpreter may be sufficient.
